CARBAMATE & ORGANOPHOSPHATE NEMATICIDES:

The mode of action of carbamates and organophosphates on nematodes is thought to be similar to the action against insects which is to inhibit acetylcholinesterase at nerve synapses. With respect to nematodes, these products are often called nematistats because at low concentrations, they inhibit nematode activity without killing them, and the effects are reversible if nematodes are placed in water.
