A number of agricultural trade journals are published in California and widely read by growers and PCA's. This excerpt from an article that appeared in one of them in 1990 is typical of claims made for natural products and soil amendments.

Although nematodes are referred to four times in just two sentences, no claims are made that the product controls nematodes.
