SELF-DISPERSAL

The infective migratory stages of sedentary endoparasitic nematodes and the juvenile and adult stages of migratory parasitic and endoparasitic nematodes can migrate in soil up to about 3 feet, depending on the species. Thus, even with several generations, in 1 year the rate of self-dispersal from a point of initial infection would probably be less than about 3 to 6 feet a season.
